Cycle Ride: Windsor to Richmond

Activity

This 32-mile linear ride follows the Thames and Sustrans route from Windsor to Richmond. Route takes in Windsor Great Park, Virginia Water and Coopers Hill viewpoint. After picnic lunch at the memorial, we continue through Laleham (ferry crossing at Shepperton) to Walton and Hampton Court. Many fine houses and views on this route. Final section is along Thames Path around Ham back to Richmond. Level route, suitable for most cycles.

Refreshments

Picnic lunch at Coopers Hill. Lots of pubs and cafes on route.

Travel

Windsor is on mainline rail from Paddington and Waterloo. No free parking at start. Leader and others are taking train from Isleworth at 10:20am to Windsor. Free parking at Isleworth Station (postcode TW7 4BY).

11:00am prompt at Windsor Riverside Station, Windsor, postcode SL4 1QG

Finish

Around 5:00pm at Richmond Bridge, postcode TW9 1TY
