Activity

This 6-mile circular walk takes in the countryside around the village of Totteridge near Barnet. Walk starts and ends at the very popular Orange Tree pub on the village common with great views across London. The route will include part of the London Loop walk and a visit to Finchley Nurseries. This has fishponds, lots of items for sale (including home-made jam and honey) and a friendly café in the grounds. Our walk will include the very expensive villas of this exclusive village plus Darlands Lake and nature reserve. We will visit the impressive parish church of St Andrews. We can see the famous 200-year-old oak, possibly the oldest in England. Walk ends at Orange Tree with option for late lunch there. Some minor climbs, on good footpaths throughout.
