Activity

Due to network rail strikes our 18-mile circular cycle ride for today is via the Elizabeth line following the Thames and Jubilee River from Maidenhead. We join Sustrans route 4 which takes in quiet lanes and tracks. We will explore the scenic Thameside village of Bray with its historic pub and Jacobean almshouses. We then join the Thames and pass the Bray Film Studios (home of Hammer Horror). Route continues along Eton Dorney rowing lakes and Windsor Racecourse to reach Eton. We will then explore Eton and Windsor with its many famous buildings, with lunch at a riverside venue. We then join route 61 via the Jubilee River which returns to Maidenhead. Good surfaces on tracks, no hills on route.
