6-mile walk along the Thames from Putney Bridge to Chiswick, with visits to various historical places on route. We start at Fulham Palace, the historic residence of the Bishop of London. Medieval and Georgian architecture plus extensive gardens. We start at the Georgian café, option to take part in the Easter Egg Hunt within the gardens. We will then pass Craven Cottage, home of Fulham FC, using the new extended footpath by the river. We then walk along the long promenade to Hammersmith riverside. Refreshment stop at one of many delightful riverside pubs (popular film location) and then onto Chiswick village (tomb of Hogarth).
