Activity
6-mile walk takes you from Canons Park to Stanmore Country Park where you get a panoramic view of the city. We then walk to Bentley Priory Nature Reserve which has lots of flora and wildlife including master oak tree - oldest tree in Middlesex. We will stop for packed lunch by a bank of Stanmore Pond before continuing to Deer Park. Visit to walled Bernays Gardens before the end at Stanmore. Please wear suitable footwear as can be muddy even on dry days.
Refreshments
Please bring a packed lunch as there may not be an option to purchase refreshments during the walk
Travel
Canons Park and Stanmore stations are on Jubilee line and local bus routes. Limited free parking a short walk from stations.
Start
11:00am prompt outside Canons Park station, Whitchurch Lane, Edgware, HA8 6RN
Finish
Around 3:30pm at Bernays Gardens, Old Church Lane, Stanmore, HA7 4AH (short walk to Stanmore station)
