Activity

We have another nostalgia afternoon at the Kew Musical Museum. Donald MacKenzie, the renowned organist from London's Odeon Luxe, Leicester Square, returns to entertain the audience accompanying a Halloween special. The Phantom of the Opera is the 1925 silent horror film adaptation of Gaston Leroux's novel. The deformed Phantom haunts the Paris Opera House, causing murder and mayhem in an attempt to make the woman he loves a star. The film is famous for Chaney's ghastly make-up which was kept a studio secret until the film's premiere. Donald MacKenzie will be performing the improvised score on the museum's mighty Wurlitzer.
