Activity
A 12-mile flat linear walk along the coast from Shoeburyness to Benfleet. Along the coast from Shoeburyness East Beach to Benfleet passing nature reserves, Southend 'Golden Mile' and Pier, through Leigh-on-Sea fishing village, passing below Hadleigh Country Park with views of the castle (ruins), and Olympic (2012) mountain bike track. A joint walk with the local Ramblers group. Option to drop out at Chalkwell (7 miles) or Leigh-on-Sea (8 miles) Station.
Refreshments
Lunch stop in Chalkwell. Snack bars available or bring a picnic. Ice cream shops at most resorts on route. Post-walk pub stop in Benfleet.
Travel
C2C train to Shoeburyness, departs Fenchurch Street at 9:18am, stops at stations on way.

10:30am prompt at Shoeburyness Station, High Street, Shoeburyness, SS3 9AW
Finish
Around 5:00pm at Benfleet Station, Ferry Road, Benfleet, SS7 1NF
