Activity
A circular walk in the Chilterns of around 26.2 miles, matching the length of a marathon. Starting at Watford Station (not Watford Junction), we head through Cassiobury Park and then south along the Grand Union Canal. Shortly before Maple Cross we head west, passing through Chalfont St Giles, Coleshill and Amersham. After reaching Chesham Bois we start the return leg, heading along the Chess valley, passing Latimer and Sarratt Bottom. We then head up to Church End and Chandlers Cross, and finally east back to the Grand Union Canal, into Cassiobury Park and up to Watford Station. The route passes within about a mile of Chalfont and Latimer Station after 19 miles. Brisk pace.
