Activity
We will follow a 5-mile walk showing the many different sides of London. Meet at Baker Street Station inside the Metropolitan Bar above the station entrance for breakfast or coffee. We will take a leisurely walk through stunning Regents Park. There will be time to take in the rose garden, the beautiful plantings, statues, open air theatre, water features and the very secret garden. We will make our way right through the park and walk onto Camden Lock which will be in direct contrast to the tranquil Regents Park. We will have some free time for wandering around the market and having lunch by the canalside. We will then get onto the towpath and walk onto Kings Cross. The area has been recently regenerated and we can explore Granary Square (fountains to run through), Coal Drops Yard, and the impressive gasometers now converted into apartments. The area features newly opened shops, the famous narrowboat bookshop and some interesting architecture in the Coal Drops. There are canalside pubs and cafes for a final refreshment break with views over this transformed quarter. Kings Cross St Pancras Station is only a 5-minute walk from there.
