Activity
The Great River Race is London's River Marathon. It's a spectacular boat race covering 22 miles from Millwall in the East to Richmond in the West, travelling under London's famous bridges. We will watch all the boats sail by from our riverside viewpoint at Wapping. Around three hundred vessels take part in the Great River Race, including many from overseas. The crews are often in fancy dress with diverse themes, we will guess each one to win a free drink. Many teams are raising funds to support their chosen charity. The Captain Kidd pub has a large riverside terrace plus a balcony area providing panoramic views across the Thames.
