Activity
Who would have thought it? A flat and beautiful wooded 6-mile Crane riverside stroll heading towards the otherwise dreary hinterland of Heathrow Airport. A diamond necklace from a car boot sale so to speak. There's a rural feel and plenty of shade if the weather is 'Scorchio' - to pinch a regular member's oft-used phrase. We start at Twickenham Station, with our lunch stop at a preserved shot tower, where there are toilets and a coffee kiosk with a basic selection of sandwiches and pastries etc. although it's probably advisable to bring a packed lunch. We pass the remnants of some gunpowder mills before we emerge close to our finish point at Hatton Cross. From there the Piccadilly Line and several local bus routes should make good our escape.
Refreshments
Coffee kiosk for lunch serving basic cold food items. Option to bring packed lunch.
