Activity
This 10-mile walk crosses three local authority areas (Barnet, Enfield and Hertfordshire) and starts at Cockfosters Station. We make our way to Hadley Common, then turn north to the exclusive houses of Hadley Wood. We then follow a footpath along the Hertfordshire / Enfield border to Hook Wood. From there we make our way through the wood to Northaw village. We will have our lunch stop at the Two Brewers pub or you can bring a packed lunch and eat in in the churchyard of St Thomas a Becket church next door. We return via Hook Wood, and part of the London Loop route. We then walk through Trent Park (next to Cockfosters Station) and can have tea and cakes at the café. The paths are likely to be very muddy along the entirety of this route even in summer, so suitable footwear is advisable.
