Activity
This 20-mile cycle ride takes in a loop of the Chiltern Hills from Henley, stopping at several villages on the way. Majority on quiet lanes with some off-road sections including some fast tricky descents. Following the Thames we cross at Mill End and then climb to the hills. We will take in Skermitt, Fingest and Turville, all perfectly preserved Chiltern villages with historic churches, pubs and manors. Turville has featured in many films including "Went the Day Well" and Vicar of Dibley of course. Lunch stop at the Turville Heath Barn, hidden away from the road, it serves burgers, pizza, coffee, beer and many cakes. We then head south and have a few descents through wild flower meadows to reach the Thames. Short section back to start. Off-road or hybrid cycles required.
