Activity
This 18-mile cycle ride takes in Grand Union Canal, River Thames, Jacobean manor and the Brentford Festival. After coffee at Northala we join the Grand Union Canal and head south. Detour to the Green Quarter, the new cultural hub at Southall Gasworks development. Then using cycle paths through former industrial heart of Southall (AEC and Quaker Oaks) to rejoin canal at Three Bridges. We will visit Boston Manor House, reopened last year after lavish restoration. We will explore Brentford riverside before joining other cycle groups at the free Brentford Festival. Live music, food stalls, vintage vehicles and a chance to ride on a Routemaster. There is a fleet of restored buses, jump on the rear platform for a tour around Brentford and Ealing. Ride returns via Brent Valley Cycle route. Ride suitable for all cycles, no hills on route.

Café at start and on route. Lots of choice at festival.

Nearest station Northolt on Central line. Free parking in nearby streets.
