Activity
An 8-mile circular walk through the pretty village of Bookham with its ancient church and selection of independent shops. Then we head south into the woods and farmland of the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We will take in the beautiful beech woods of Ranmore Common, with good long-distance views, and part of the Polesden Lacey National Trust estate (membership not required). Then it is back through Bookham to the station, stopping in a pub, cafe or chocolate shop if desired. Some steep ascents and descents, muddy if it has been wet. Good boots and reasonable fitness needed.
