Activity
This 7-mile walk follows the Grand Union Canal from Greenford. We will go in search of the beavers in the Paradise Fields haven for wildlife. It is thought to be the first time in 400 years that beavers have been seen on an urban site in the capital. The hope is that the natural tendency of beavers to build dams will help to reduce the flood risk to the surrounding area, boost the capital's wildlife population and inspire Londoners to learn more about nature. We then join the Paddington arm of the Grand Junction Canal. We then climb up Horsenden Hill, with one of the finest natural viewpoints in London. As we descend we will stop at Horsenden Farm for pizza and a beer from Perivale Brewery. We then follow the Grand Union Canal back to start point.
