Activity

8-mile circular walk from Amersham. Takes in Parsonage Woods and Little Chalfont, then climbs up towards Chalfont St. Giles, taking the brilliant views from the peak, then making our way downwards towards strangely named 'Upper Bottom', crossing Rodger's Wood, arriving at historic Old Amersham, famous in many ways including locations for many movies and murder mysteries. Famous faces may be seen in town. Will visit Memorial Gardens and majestic church dating back to 1140. Return leg crossing River Misbourne and ascent to station. Some climbs on route.

Refreshments

Bring packed lunch. Possible pub stop in Old Amersham and at end of walk.

Travel

Amersham is on Metropolitan and Chiltern lines. Free parking on Sundays in nearby streets.
