A stunning weekend of waterfall walks and mountains in the beauty of the Brecon Beacons over the Easter weekend.
Thursday Evening
Food can be arranged at the bunkhouse TBC nearer the time.
The first of our walks takes in the four waterfalls walk to include Sgwd Clun Gwyn, Sgwd Isaf Clun Gwyn, Sgwd Y Pannwr and the majestic Sgwd Yr Eira. We will then carry on to Pontneddfechan to the old gunpowder works, Sgydau Sychryd and Ddinas Rock. We will then enter the village of Pontneddfechan for refreshments. After a much needed break to chat about our discoveries we head back to the bunkhouse at our own pace. The walk is reasonably level, around 7 miles. Evening TBC nearer the time.
We head up to Ystradfellte from the bunkhouse onto Beacons Way which takes us through a magical forest towards Fan Fawr for stunning views over Pen Y Fan and beyond. After a pub stop we then follow the Taff Trail back to Ystradfellte. The walk is hilly and has a steep ascent, around 12 miles. For the evening we are planning a barbecue and music in the Bohemian Poly Tunnel Venue.
Back to waterfall walking. We now go west towards Sgwyd Ddwll Uchaf, Sygwd Ddwll Isaf, Sgwyd Y Bedol and Sgwyd Gwladus. If weather permits we may attempt Sgwyd Einion Gam which can only be accessed by crossing and recrossing the river Afon Pyrddin. In any event we then head up to Sgwyd Henrhyd which for Batman fans will be the highlight of the weekend as it was the waterfall used as the batcave in the Dark Knight Rises. Reasonably level with some ascents, around 12 miles. After that we head back to the bunkhouse again. Evening activities TBC nearer the time.
After packing up we have a day of choices. Some who came on Friday and missed the four waterfalls can catch up while others can explore the Aberdulais Falls or the surrounding countryside.

At the bunkhouse mainly self-catering, and breakfast butties can be purchased from the guest house. A packed lunch is recommended for most days to suit. There are many planned pub and tea shop stops. The B&B can provide food as there is a trained chef on site. Free barbecue will be provided by the organisers on Saturday night. Let them know any dietary requirements.

By car. Car sharing will be arranged nearer the time, please contact the organiser. Trains from London Paddington to Abergavenny then by coach and bus - use route planner for prices etc.
