A 10 mile circular walk starting from Wendover station. From the station we pick up the Icknield Way which is the oldest road in Britain. This takes us through the hamlet of Dunsmore and then continuing on through a mixture of woodlands and open countryside until we reach our first viewpoint at Whiteleaf Hill, which is above the market town of Princes Risborough. From here we will have views across the Vale of Aylesbury and onto the Wessex Downs. We will then pick up the Ridgeway path, passing a small hill fort at Pulpit Hill and onto Chequers before climbing up through the woods to our second viewpoint from the monument on Coombe Hill; on a clear day we should be able to see the Cotswolds in the distance. After this it's all downhill back into Wendover where we can stop for some well-deserved refreshments, before making our way back home.

Bring packed lunch and drink. We will be passing some pubs but these are very busy at the weekend, so we may not have time to stop for food. There is a good selection of shops at our final destination.

Train leaves Harrow on the Hill at 9:09am and arrives at Wendover at 9:45am. Parking £5.
