A 3 mile historical and cultural tour of the Queen of the Suburbs. The tour will include neo-Gothic architecture, two blue plaques and John Sloane's 18th century manor house. We will walk through Walpole Park, passing mid-Victorian churches and coaching inns. Later we will explore the live music venues famous from the 60s and of course Ealing Studios. One of the foremost British studios, it has created great films over the past 80 years. We finish with a view of London from a high rooftop and briefly delve into the borough's past through a school's fascinating photographs.
Ample opportunities for refreshments. A small cafe in the park, an array of pubs including 'The Red Lion' affiliated with 'Santa Maria', highly regarded as the best Neopolitan pizza in London.
Ealing Broadway is a central hub for tube (end of the Central Line) and a web of bus routes. Chargeable parking in car parks near start.
