Free to members, £6 supplement for attendees from Meetup
This 9 mile walk will take us through farmland, woodland and parkland. We cross the Tillingbourne stream which used to power a number of powder, paper and corn mills. The walk has a few steady slopes, 9 stiles and a few kissing gates. We pass by Little Ford Farmhouse which is a timber framed building dating from the sixteenth century. We will take a slight detour to visit the little English village of Shere where scenes from Bridget Jones, The Edge of Reason and the Holiday were filmed. We will visit the Church of St James which is a twelfth century church that appeared in the Doomsday book. This walk has lots of lovely views. We will finish the walk after entering the gunpowder mills and heading back to start point.
Event is restricted to 6 participants due to current government guidance. Please book your place using Book Now button below.
