We will be walking around Britain's oldest recorded town, Colchester, including the Roman Walls, Castle, Priory and riverside path. Our 6 mile walk will take in Colchester Castle (with original Roman vaults and roof top gallery for viewpoint). We will walk the circuit of Roman Walls of the city with unique surviving gateway. Also medieval priory to explore within landscaped parklands. We will follow the Colne river trail to the riverside town of Wivenhoe. The town has a wealth of history and riverside pubs to end the walk at.

Trains from Liverpool Street to Colchester Town station. 9:55am service arrives 11:00am. Trains back from Wivenhoe to Liverpool Street.
