This 30 mile linear ride follows Sustrans Route 4 and is mainly alongside the Thames Path on a route full of history and with much to see on route. We start at the riverside café at Richmond and follow the Thames through Teddington, Hampton Court, Walton on Thames, Shepperton, and Egham before arrival at Windsor Castle for tea and cakes by the river before trains back. Our route will pass by Marble Hill House, Ham House, Hampton Court Palace (will detour for visit). We cross the Thames via the Shepperton ferry (running since 1520) and will climb to the summit of Coopers Hill for stunning views of the Thames Valley. We will stop for breaks at the viewpoints and the historical sites. Route suitable for all bikes as well surfaced paths.
