Regents Canal Walk and Another Market

Sat Oct 1st

Free to members, £10 supplement for attendees from Meetup

We start our 5 mile walk at Baker Street station and make our way up to the newly renovated Merchants Square with its riverside restaurants and bars. We will follow the canal into Paddington Basin and enjoy the barges serving food and drinks and explore this developing and trendy area of London. The walk proceeds onto the ever popular Little Venice and its famous barges going to Camden and the Zoo. We continue on the canal heading towards Goldbourne Road and the famous Portobello Market, with the opportunity to buy anything and everything. We will walk the length of the market and end at the top at Notting Hill Gate. This walk will give you a sense of the old and new parts of the canal as well as experiencing the wonderful market and surrounding area where the Notting Hill Carnival is held.

Option to bring packed lunch. Plenty of cafes and shops along the canal. Pub at Notting Hill Gate at the end.

Baker Street is on the Metropolitan, Circle, Hammersmith and City, Jubilee and Bakerloo lines. Notting Hill Gate is on the Central, District and Circle lines.
