A 9.3 mile circular walk from Sandridge in Hertfordshire taking in countryside near St Albans. Despite it being called Open Country there are some places where we walk through lovely wooded areas. It is a nice mixture of both open country and woods. In places it is a little uneven underfoot so boots are a good option, rather than trainers. Elevation is only 140 metres and that is gradual so not too taxing. If you subscribe to OS maps walk leader can send you the route so that you can look at it and navigate it.
We stop for elevenses at a pub. Lunch stop at pub after half way. Option to bring packed lunch. Pub at end point.
By car only. Free car park.
10:00am prompt at Spencer Meadow Sports Courts car park, 10 Hopkins Crescent, Sandridge, AL4 9DB
