Activity
This 20 mile cycle ride takes in many highlights of east London, with two river crossings, Thames Path, canals, Olympic Park and Greenwich. We start from the Olympic Park, passing the stadium, velodrome and other venues still heavily in use. Joining the Limehouse Cut we cycle south to Limehouse Basin. After the yachting marina we take in the Isle of Dogs including Canary Wharf. We cross the Thames via the foot tunnel to Greenwich. We will cycle around the Cutty Sark, Naval Museum and Greenwich Park. Great views over the City from the Observatory. We then head east along the Thames Path, passing the O2 and Thames Barrier. Our next crossing is via the Woolwich Free ferry (no charge hence the name). Our next section is through the restored London Docks and City Airport before we return to the start via the famous Greenway Cycle Trail. Ride has flat smooth paths, suitable for all bikes.
