This 9 mile walk will incorporate a section of the Millennium Way which is a beautiful 100 mile walk in the heart of England. We start the walk in the village of Cropredy which is located on the river Cherwell, which was the scene of the battle of Cropredy Bridge in 1644, a significant event in the English Civil War. We head into Warrington where we will pass Edgcote House which was built in 1747 and was used as the backdrop to the 1995 Pride and Prejudice TV drama. We visit the village Chipping Warden with the ancient church of St Peter and St Paul. Refreshments at the Griffin pub. We continue on the Millennium Way back to Cropedy. The walk includes gentle gradients, several kissing gates, footbridges and stiles. The paths are a mixture of lanes, tracks, towpath and field paths.
Event is restricted to 12 participants due to current government guidance. This is based on 2 separate groups of up to 6 participants each, the second group having an assistant leader and following the first group at a short distance. Please book your place using Book Now button below.
