Activity

An 11 circular walk through the Ashridge Estate, passing through the picturesque villages of Aldbury and Little Gaddesden before arriving at Ivinghoe Beacon to take in the views. We will then pick up the Ridgeway path back into Tring. This walk will allow us to enjoy parts of two long distance footpaths, which take in a patchwork of woods and fields of the Chiltern Way as well as the airy ridges of the Ridgeway path. Please ensure that you are wearing suitable clothing for the day, as it can be quite cold and blowy on Ivinghoe Beacon and the paths may be wet and slippery.

Event is restricted to 12 participants due to current government guidance. This is based on 2 separate groups of up to 6 participants each, the second group having an assistant leader and following the first group at a short distance. Please book your place using Book Now button below.

Tring is on mainline from Harrow and Wealdstone (9:07am service arrives at 9:29am). Free parking in nearby streets.

Booking conditions for HAWOG events

If you submit a booking and your request can be met then you are expected to attend the event. If subsequently you cannot attend then you must use this form to inform the event organiser as soon as possible.
If your request can be met then you'll receive an email from the organiser.

If your request cannot be met then you will be informed of this. You may then inform the organiser if you want to be added to a waiting list. A waiting list means you get informed soonest if a place becomes available, it does not commit you to taking the place but you will need to confirm in a short period of time if you want it.
