Activity
This 10 mile walk takes in Thames Path and hills around Henley on Thames. From the start we pick up the Oxfordshire Way towards Fawley with its church and mausoleum. Then onwards to the Great Wood with one of leader's favourite trails that give an insight into what ancient Britain would have looked like. We then enter the iconic village of Hambleden with its famous church and the locations of many films and television dramas. This will be our lunch stop; pub, village shop and benches in square for packed lunch. After the break we then head for the footbridge over the weir at Hambleden Mill and pick up the Thames Path. This last flat stretch passes Temple Island, Fawley Court (Toad Hall) and the famous Henley Rowing Course before returning to the start with pubs on the riverside.
