Activity

This 5-mile walk is to celebrate Hanami in the London Parks. Hanami is the Japanese celebration of tree blossom in March and April. With four parks and several gardens, we will see many trees in blossom, not just cherry. We head to Holland Park, seeking out the Kyoto Garden with its Japanese maples and koi pond. We'll visit the newer Fukushima Garden. We'll then explore the rest of the park with its peacocks, and take refreshments at the park café. Once rested, we'll walk to nearby Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park, where there is much to see. There is hand-feeding of wild parakeets, and we'll see ducklings and goslings on the Serpentine. We may have time for the Rose Garden. Then it's under Wellington Arch and into Green Park.
