Activity

This walk starts with a boat trip along the Thames followed by a cultural tour of Greenwich. The Thames Uber Boat sails from Embankment to Greenwich with superb views of both sides of the Thames. At Greenwich we start our 6 mile walk through the town to the park heading to the Observatory where we can take in the spectacular views of London and an opportunity to cross the Meridian Line. We will have our picnic lunch enjoying the view. Kiosk for hot drinks and snacks. Walk continues to the wildlife centre, deer park and other parts of the estate including the remains of a Roman temple. Route continues through historic parts of Greenwich with a stroll around Greenwich Market and drinks at a famous pub.

Refreshments

Bring a packed lunch. We will stop at a pub at the end of the walk. Plenty of coffee shops on route.

Travel

Embankment station is on District and Circle line. Greenwich is on DLR and main line from Victoria.

11:00am prompt outside Thameside exit to Embankment station, postcode WC2N 6NS

Finish

Around 3:30pm at Greenwich Market, postcode SE10 9HZ
