Activity

This 6-mile walk through the historic parts of London follows a Dickens inspired trail with visits to many Victorian inns and taverns featured in the novels. Route will pass through Clerkenwell, Farringdon, the City, Fleet Street, Soho and finish near Covent Garden. We start at one of the oldest taverns, "The Boot", featured in Barnaby Rudge, and end at the Lamb and Flag, another Georgian inn frequented by Dickens and Dryden. We will visit the hidden courtyards and alleys from David Copperfield and Bleak House and the street where once stood Fagin's Lair. Several other pub stops on route through back alleys where Dickens set some of his stories. Christmas lights will also be on display for our evening stroll.
