Holmwood, Leith Hill, Friday Street and Dorking

Activity

10-mile linear walk through the highest point of the Surrey Hills. Climb Leith Hill (highest point in SE England) for excellent views over the Weald. The route takes in National Trust estates and woodlands. Stop at the historic hamlet of Friday Street for lunch at the historic inn. Route follows river path passing water mails and villages downhill towards Dorking.

Pub lunch at midpoint. Tea stop at end in Dorking.

Travel

Train from Clapham Junction to Holmwood. Return trains from Dorking back to London every 20 minutes, they stop at Holmwood for those who are driving to the start. Free parking in streets near Holmwood Station.
