Activities

Sightseeing in Belfast is planned for those arriving early enough on Thursday.
On day 2 we plan to walk the Causeway Coast Way from Portrush to the Giant's Causeway (about 10 miles). The walk will take in sweeping beaches, a medieval castle and the spectacular 40,000 hexagonal columns of the Giant's Causeway, the product of volcanic activity 60 million years ago. We will allow plenty of time to take in this splendid site.
On day 3 we will continue the coastal walk (about 12 miles) along cliff tops to Dunseverick Castle, White Park Bay, finishing at Carrick-a-Rede island, accessed via the thrilling 20m rope bridge, once a temporary bridge erected each spring, now permanent, "providing views over Rathlin Island and Scotland's Mull of Kintyre". This is reported to be one of the most scenic walks in Ireland.
Other local sights include the Game of Thrones location and Rathlin Island (options for day 4).

Self-catering. The cottages are in rural surroundings but Portrush and Bushmills both have pubs and restaurants. Bushmills also being famous for its distillery!
